Who we are

As in many other countries in which the New Wine name is used, New Wine Cymru holds to the core values of New Wine, but is responsible for its own operations, financing and leadership.

We are NOT a parachurch organisation! As stated on our welcome page, we are a coalition of churches, leaders and ministries who share common values and want to help one another in order to see the kingdom of God advance in Wales.

Leadership Team

Julian RichardsJulian Richards, Leader of New Wine Cymru, and Senior Leader of Cornerstone Church, Swansea.

Bruce CollinsBruce Collins, Chairman of New Wine Cymru. Bruce has until recently been the Overseer of New Wine’s International networking and remains a member of the New Wine Leadership Team in England. In 2007 he and his wife Sian moved to be based in Wales.

Chris CartwrightChris Cartwright, Senior Pastor of The City Temple in Cardiff. Chris is involved in citywide leadership through the Cardiff Church Leader’s network.

Paul FrancisPaul Francis, Leader of Glenwood Church, Cardiff, a non-denominational church with a congregation of some 300 people.

Mike HolmesMike Holmes, Leader – Church Ministry, Bethlehem Christian Life Centre, Cefn Cribwr. Mike has a passion for community transformation through a transformed church.

Karen LoweKaren Lowe, Senior Leader, Antioch Church, Llanelli. She is passionate about God’s presence, the poor and the release of mission movements rooted in the Celtic Christian tradition.

Steve MorganSteve Morgan, Vicar of Christ Church, Merthyr Tydfil and Canon of Llandaff Cathedral.

Sarah RichardsSarah Richards, Senior Leader, Cornerstone Church, Swansea. She has a passion to see church connecting with its members and its community, and has been involved in leadership for 24 years. She is also a member of Pioneer’s leadership team and a board member of Willow Creek UK and Ireland.

Ifor WilliamsIfor Williams, was until recently the Senior Pastor of Broad Haven Baptist Church in Pembrokeshire. He and his wife Penny moved to Breconshire in February 2010 to help develop new church life there. Ifor has been a member of New Wine Cymru’s trusteeship and leadership team during the last two years.
